Customer is responsible for letting carrier know about damaged or missing filters. This must be noted on the carrier’s freight bill of
lading – without this, a claim cannot be filed.
File all claims with Smith Filter immediately | Smith Filter will make a replacement order when notified
Credit for returns will be allowed only when authorized by Smith Filter’s Return Department
Standard products must be in resellable condition for credit to be allowed.
Non-Standard products ordered in error may not be returned for credit
Standard products returned resulting from customer error must be shipped back prepaid freight and a 15% restocking charge
assessed. All returned filters will be inspected to determine usability. If unacceptable, the value of that portion will be deducted
from credit given.
Returns are only allowed up to six months from the date of the invoice.
Credits are void after 6 months.
After 30 days products cannot be returned
1/8″ tolerance each way on all filters
All permanent, standard sized filters are undersized ½” length and width, ⅛” on thickness
All disposable, standard sized filters vary between ¼” to ⅝” undersized depending upon size
If unsure if size is stock or custom, please indicate exact size
Custom sizes will be made to exact dimensions indicated on order (custom sizes ordered incorrectly cannot be returned)
Please indicate invoice number with remittance check to ensure accuracy
